I hope at least in parallel.
I personally like to view topics in a forum for nicer overview 
as browsing and remembering which mail and what was written. 
Less cluttering with no need quotes. And most irritating the
new topics as reply on existing topic.
It looks to me many use the flat layout in there email instead telling
there mail program it is a maillist and can viewed in thread order. 
Thanks for setting up the site and of course all your work on it.
